@distorson yea those are crotales. As NothingIsReal said, they’re usually played with mallets. You can do the same bowing effect though with a few similar mallet instruments, such as a vibraphones
I saw them a couple of days ago in Tucson and was brought nearly to tears by how beautiful they sound. If they play in a town near you then it will be well worth it to see them live.

i think those are crotales, but those are usually played with mallets like a set of bells, not a bow
